禪的境界是超諸文字語言的，知識言說上的「八風吹不動」，如果沒有實際的證悟，是經不起考驗的。蘇東坡雖然才華超群，但是對於「禪」終因未能證悟而知見偏差，最後仍然輸給佛印禪師。反觀我們自身，一天中起了多少的妄念？產生了多少執著和煩惱？大千世界，色彩繽紛，光怪陸離，金錢、名利和美色等令人心動神馳。在繁忙浮躁和充滿誘惑的塵世紛擾下，如果我們超然物外，真正做到「不以物喜，不以己悲」「心不隨境轉」「息滅貪瞋癡，勤修戒定慧」，依照南無第三世多杰羌佛的教導修行，證悟本性易如反掌。
分享佛門的著名的典故：蘇東坡與佛印禪師『一屁過江來』。
有一次，蘇東坡被派遣到江北瓜州任職，和金山寺只隔著一條江。有一天，蘇東坡修持欣然有得，做了一首偈子，來表達他的境界，並且很得意地派書僮過江把偈子送給禪師，並囑咐書僮看看禪師是否有什麼讚語？
偈子上說：「稽首天中天，毫光照大千；八風吹不動，端坐紫金蓮。」意思是說：我頂禮偉大的佛陀，蒙受到佛光的普照，我的心已經不再受到外在世界利、衰、毀、譽、稱、譏、苦、樂八風所牽動了，好比佛陀端坐蓮花座上一樣。
禪師看了之後，一語不發，拿起筆來，只批了兩個字，就叫書僮帶回去。
蘇東坡以為禪師一定會讚歎自己境界很高，看到書僮拿回禪師的回語，急忙打開一看，只見上面寫著「放屁」兩字，無名火不禁升起。
豈有此理！禪師不但不稱讚我，反而罵我「放屁」。
於是乘船過江找禪師理論。船快到金山寺時，佛印禪師早已站在江邊等待蘇東坡，蘇東坡一見禪師就氣憤填膺的說：
『禪師！我們是至交道友，你怎麼可以開口就罵人呢？』
禪師若無其事說：『罵你什麼呀！』
『我那首偈上面的「放屁」兩字呀！』
禪師聽了呵呵大笑說：
『哦！你不是八風吹不動了嗎？怎麼讓我一屁就打過江來了？』
